Kabeah is a collection of olfactive memoirs capturing an enchanted childhood by the Mediterranean Sea, softly perfumed by nature and family.
Flickers of nostalgia contrast with a world of tender flowers in pastels, shades of white jasmine and orange blossom, dusky pink of rose warda and the reds and greens of geranium.
Kabeah’s fragrances are intimate memories decorated with flowers, blending notes which add glowing light and vibrant colour to musings of a charmed childhood, stirring emotions and reimagining a true “jardin d’enfance”.
The Founder – Khedija Ben Ayed
We all have within ourselves the seeds of our dreams. Very much like real seeds carried away by wind or birds, our dreams will eventually grow from the seeds and blossom – at the mercy of chance and fate … pushed by a strong desire. Khedija carries the seed of Perfume. Growing up in the Mediterranean region, she flourished in her grandmother’s jasmine-filled garden as well as in her mother’s garden.
As an adult, she relocated to Paris to follow a Business School preparation course and later completed a Master’s Degree in Fashion Promotion and Communication. However, her deeply-rooted dream never faltered. She only felt fulfilled when surrounded by the wonderful scents found in what she calls her Secret Garden. Understanding her profound love of perfumes, her father encouraged her to launch her own fragrance line.
Therefore, in the summer of 2016, Khedija traveled to Grasse, France. There, she began an internship where she learned everything about fragrance compounds and the art of composing a perfume. Her brand, Kabeah, was ready to take off. As Kabeah's newly appointed Art Director, Khedija wants to share with the world her most-cherished scented memories. Discover her fragrance line freshly turned towards the future.
The Perfumer – Stéphanie Bakouche
Perfumery has been Stéphanie’s true love since childhood. At five years old, Stephanie first declared her passion for perfumery with a statement to her parents: “When I’m older, I want to create perfumes!”
Twenty years later, she created Invasion Barbare (Parfums MDCI), earning praise from perfume lovers and a precious five-star rating from perfume critic Luca Turin.
Named a curator of the Osmothéque in 2013, Stéphanie strives to protect the beautiful art of perfumery and shares her knowledge with extraordinary generosity.
Following the paths of great prodigies of perfumery, such as the wisdom of perfumery’s foremost philosopher Edmond Roudnitska, or the teachings of the great Bertrand Duchaufour, who she studied under for seven years, Stéphanie created Sensaba “Perfume is Art”.
At her laboratory on Chemin de la Rose de Mai, she passionately composes formulas with which wonderfully evoke her Moroccan roots, the traditions of Grasse, and express her wildly modern and chic Parisian approach to this art form.
We often talk about gift, destiny, or even how a chance meeting sets a journey in motion, when only an obvious unconditional love can describe such a path.
